El Naranjo is a Mexican publisher founded in 1994. It started to publish children and teenagers’ books under its label in 2002. It has published more than 100 titles that go from poetry to art, history, nature and classical literature, always with a playful spin. Its main objective is to build a unique and distinctive aesthetics to contribute mature, critic and creative readers through works that spark their sensitivity and interest by covering topics where they can feel related to or that present them new topics.
In its very successful trajectory, El Naranjo has being awarded not only by its readers' preference but also by important world-class institutions. Since 2003, more than 20 of El Naranjo's titles have been selected for the School Libraries Program in Mexico by the Public Education Secretary, so they are included in all the libraries of public schools in Mexico.
Every year since 2014, the Bologna Children's Book Fair —the world’s most important event in the children’s publishing industry— has nominated El Naranjo to the BOP (Bologna Best Children’s Publisher of the Year Prize) as the best publisher in Central and South America.
